DESCRIPTION

One owner, frame off rebuild of a 1964 Impala Sport Coupe. My father purchased this Impala from Walker Chevrolet, Tacoma, Washington.
The restoration started in 1996. The Impala has been garaged since this time and has not seen wet weather.
The 327 was rebuilt and up graded from the 250hp to 300hp by installing a 30-30 Duntov cam, 194 heads, Carter AFB with Edelbrock intake manifold and 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust. Uses a HEI distributor and one wire alternator. Both the engine wiring and light wiring were replaced. New radiator and heater core installed.
The transmission is the original power glide which has been service by Reliable Transmission. The rear end is stock, with the third member replaced before 1996 rebuild.
With the body off frame. The frame was completely cleaned and painted. There were no major issues other than a small rust area around the two rear body mount holes which were corrected. New shocks were added front and back. The front end was rebuilt. New brake drums, pads, springs and actuator assemblies were also replaced. New BF Goodrich Tires were added with new Ridler mags. The spare tire is new also with chrome wheel. Original jack in trunk.
The body was completely taken apart. The doors, new hinges added. The hood, the fenders and trunk lid off. New gaskets replaced in door and widows. The rust was minor in most areas. Those that needed repairing were taken to the auto body shop. The floors were solid except for one dollar sized hole on the drivers side. The floors were painted and sound deadening added. Original carpet was added later. The headliner is original.
A new fuel tank and inlet hose was added as well as new body mount pads and bolts.
The interior seats and door panels were replaced and installed by upholstery shop The original radio is in car and is hooked up to rear antenna.
It has had its first repaint since purchase. PPG Amber red was used for the base coat and Eastwood clear. First repainting of the 64 was done by auto body shop. Most products used on the impala are Eastwood products. New front windshield and gasket as well as a new gasket around rear window. New gasket under trunk lid.
The trim is original although I found some new old stock on Ebay and replaced the fender moldings. I still have the original ones. I have pictures of each area done and can attach to emails if there is an area you wish to see. I did a walk around VIDEO ON U TUBE under 1964 IMPALA FRAME OFF RESTORE. Scroll down a few spots and you will see it listed with my name below. The car and engine have less than 100 miles on since it got running again for cruise ins. I am asking $33,000. firm and no trades. Third party inspections are welcome. Will help with shipping. Reason I am selling, I am looking for another older classic to show at cruise ins. My kids are not interested in old cars either. Thanks for looking at my fathers 1964 Impala he really loved it and so do I. P.S. Will be adding more pictures at a later date. Had issues finding the ones I wanted to publish. Suggest viewing u tube walk around. Worth a hundred pictures.
