1965 Buick Gran Sport

The 1965 Skylark Gran Sport was an option available on the 2 door Coupe, Sport Coupe, and Convertible Riviera. Along with the 401-cid V8 engine that produced 325 hp at 4400 rpm was a heavy duty cross flow radiator and dual exhaust manifolds with oversized pipes. To identify the Gran Sport, look for a red-filled Gran Sport badge on the grille, deck and roof quarters on the 2 door Coupe and Sport Coupe; rear fenders on the Convertible. Tires on the Skylark GS were 7.75 x 14 on 6-inch rims. The GS option was also available on the Riviera. It included a Super Wildcat V8 engine. To identify the Gran Sport, look for the use of GS full wheelcovers and Gran Sport lettering below the Riviera script on the deck lid and front fenders.
