Every 300 carries as standard equipment a 383 cubic inch V8 with 4 barrel carburetor.  The most powerful array of V8’s ever offered in Chrysler History range from the 383 cubic inch to a potent 440 TNT with twin exhaust and twin snorkels.  Snorkels are horns that supply the carburetor with fresh air.  The 440 TNT offers 480 lb. ft. max. torque at 3200 rpms.  Compression ratio of 10.1 to 1.  For the sports minded, there is an optional console with the most copied automatic transmission in the business. The Chrysler’s TorqueFlite.  Every model  - 2 door hardtop, 4 door hardtop and convertible – has a distinctive roofline. You could order your Chrysler 300 interior in six different colors:  blue, red, tan, white, black or silver and pick between the combination of vinyl and cloth, hand rubbed leather or animal grain Cologne vinyl.  If you decided not to order the optional console, you could have your bucket seats and still put 3 people up front by flipping up the center armrest.   You could even order removable headrests for driver and passenger or an adjustable reclining bucket seat with 4 position hideaway headrest for your front seat companion.
